What does these scriptures really say?

Here are some interesting scripture that can also be seen in the Light of the Gospel of Grace. I would like hear what different views you may have on these verses from a GRACE perspective.

Enjoy the study

Isa 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Isa 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Miracles confirming the message of Grace

In this discussion I would like to talk about the power of signs wonders and miracles as confirmation in the WORD of Grace. People have a different point of view with regards to miracles, some don’t believe in miracles at all, while others do. Some even go as far as to say that a message preached without miracles is not from God.

I see miracles on a regular basis in my ministry and so did the people in the early church. I enjoy seeing people being healed. The impact of healing has a dramatic influence on the person being healed.

Questions

What do people have to do to manifest the power of miracles?

How do you enter into that power?

What if people don’t get healed when you pray for them?

How should we view the following scriptures?
Mark 16:16-18
Acts 1:8
John 2:23-25

I believe that this will be an interesting discussion. Feel free to answer any of the questions above. Remember we are not here to criticize any ministry or person but to encourage each other unto good works that comes only by faith in His work.

My testimony

This week I would love to give all of you the opportunity to give your testimony on how you got a hold of the Grace message and what effect it had in your life. I believe that this is a great way to help explain GRACE to people that do not understand what we talk about when we say "we are in GRACE now!!"

You can also testify about your GRACE-WALK. I have heard many say it is a wonderful but LONELY road. Please share your experience.

I can’t wait to read you testimonies ...

The difference between GRACE and MERCY

There is a difference between grace and mercy. I always thought that these two words were synonymous - but they definitely are not. I would like to us to discuss the difference between GRACE and MERCY. Understanding the difference has impacted my life.

I include the following Greek definitions of GRACE and MERCY

Grace

G5485
χάρις
charis
khar'-ece
From G5463; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): - acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).

Mercy

MER'CY, n. [L. misericordia.]

1. That benevolence, mildness or tenderness of heart which disposes a person to overlook injuries, or to treat an offender better than he deserves; the disposition that tempers justice, and induces an injured person to forgive trespasses and injuries, and to forbear punishment, or inflict less than law or justice will warrant. In this sense, there is perhaps no word in our language precisely synonymous with mercy. That which comes nearest to it is grace. It implies benevolence, tenderness, mildness, pity or compassion, and clemency, but exercised only towards offenders. Mercy is a distinguishing attribute of the Supreme Being.

The Lord is long-suffering and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty. Num 14.

To be or to lie at the mercy of, to have no means of self-defense, but to be dependent for safety on the mercy or compassion of another, or in the power of that which is irresistible; as, to be at the mercy of a foe, or of the waves.

Scriptures that help understand grace are Rom 5 – 10, and the books of Galatians, Ephesians and Colossians.

The Christian HOPE

The Christian Hope

In this discussion I would like us to talk about the difference between faith and hope. What is faith and how do we get it? What is hope and how do we enter into it and make sure that we will are partakers of the HOPE mentioned in the Word.

No person can live without faith and hope. Without hope we are hopeless in this world and will start to live as hopeless people. I have come to realize that Hope energizes us in life. There is also a danger in making what we HOPE present tense or even past tense. If we take the Christian HOPE and make it something of the PAST we are hopeless again.

Let’s talk…

(I will place a new discussion on the BLOG once a week)

Salvation and Sin

There has been many different opinions on Hebr 6. What does Hebr 6:1-10 really try to communicate to believers. If you have any opinions lets hear them. By answering this it can really help many.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
Heb 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

True innocence

Before the foundation of the world God decided that there would only be one way in which we could stand holy before Him. This is manifested in us experiencing His love for us which is the adoption of man in Jesus and in no other way. As believers we are partakers of what God has done in Jesus and therefore holy, without blame before Him in love.

Enjoy the blameless life that can be lived with the mindset of true innocence that has been given to you by God in Jesus Christ as a free gift.

Eph 1:4 Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.
Eph 1:5 Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!)
Eph 1:6 He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.
Eph 1:7 Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people--free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free!

A Troubled heart

Joh 13:36 Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, where do You go? Jesus answered him, Where I go you cannot now follow Me, but you shall follow Me afterward.

Joh 13:37 Peter said to Him, Lord, why cannot I follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.

Joh 13:38 Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for My sake? Truly, truly, I say to you, The cock shall not crow until you have denied Me three times.

Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me.

Joh 14:2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also.

Peter had a trouble heart and it manifested in such a classical way. He wanted to be with Jesus all the time and did not see that Jesus was preparing the way for him. In his ignorance and because of his troubled heart he was willing to sacrifice greatly to get to the place he desired and soon found out that human effort will always fail you when it comes to the things of God. A heart that is ignorant of the provision that is made by Jesus will always be looking towards self sacrifice to reach what is given for free.

Doesn’t matter what you face even when things does not make sense simply ask God to show you how Jesus has prepared the way and you will never have a troubled heart.

Shalom
